SOME KINDA TRIBE – I don’t think we really mention this anywhere but The little logo face thing is a mask (as well as being our logo) …Masks are partly about concealing or portraying some form identity. Nobody really does this quite that literally these days, but the social groups that we’re drawn to through our interests (Skate, Climb… etc) all have their little characteristically unique ways of expressing their identity. So the genres themselves almost act like masks, or markings to define who we are in some way….
The whole tribal thing is pretty fascinating, its quite an integral characteristic of human nature, & in a modern context we are all almost completely free to chose which tribes we identify most with, and maybe even belong to. – From a personal point of view, It’s the footstone from which positive culture can flourish.
